Wizkid released two new songs on Independence day, the first was Fever; which was reviewed yesterday and well, it did not do too hot in our review. The other new song is Master Groove and we are hoping this one fares better than fever.

Positives

A good vocal rendition from Wizkid in this song, at least his voice and words were clearer when compared to Fever. We also enjoyed the instrumentals, they were varied, full and rich. It set a compelling rythm for the song giving it solid, sonic output.
The sound of the saxophone was exciting and atmospheric, it gave the the song a jazz feeling.

Negatives

Wizkid, you will not always get away with all the repetitions in your songs. I mean, how lazy can someone be to just write good and engaging lyrics? If you really can't be bothered to write the lyrics, why not hire a competent writer? We are tired of your predictable and uninspiring lyrics really.

Bottom Line

Bottom line is Wizkid needs to hire a writer so he can stop giving us all these repetitive and cringeworthy lyrics, we have just about had enough of it.
