SONIC EXPERIENCE!
Zlatan Ibile is back with a new track. He features IVD. It’s just a formality because the song talks about his fan Bolanle that he took out. The girl ended up winning a Benz courtesy IVD. We are not a big fan of the song considering the circumstances that surrounds the song. It’s rather demeaning and insensitive to her and her alleged boyfriend. However, our job is to ignore our feelings and review tjs song with as little Bias as possible.
Bolanle starts with a groovy beat. We actually liked the relatively calmer instrumental that played before the fast-paced one.
The vocals of the song arr clear and concise. We had no issues with hearing what he was saying. The voice quality was good.
The lyrics of the song are abysmal (you were probably expecting us to say this at this point). We understand that everything is just for publicity, the should have at least used better choice of words without degrading the alleged boyfriend. They were simply painting him out to be villain because he didn't pay for her Benz for her? This simply encourages the decaying society due to the entitlement of girlfriends to the boyfriend's monies. They should really be singung these things and not for them.
The plot development is at least clear and concise. The lyrical structure is mostly dull and opaque.
The melody of the song relies heavily on the beat of the song. In fact, just about anybody can geg into the studio and sing this song. It is nothing to write home about really.
As usual we were hearing Slimcase in the background (shout out to you man).
We could. Neither tell if the song was Afropop or not. The skng didn't seem to have a specific genre and this is not because of the richness of the sound but more because of the chaotic sound.
We were left most unippressws by this song. Poor poor lyrics. Not so great melody. Over reliance on the beat of the song. Not zlatan's finest few minutes really. He has way better songs tha but this. You should just stay away from this. There's nothing to listen to, no good-feel feeling when you listen to it.
