SONIC TRAINWRECK!
“Monkey go go market
E no go fit to come back oh
Choir master wey dey mess for church
Them go smell am (Pastor go smell am, pastor don for smell am)
I no dey like to make plenty noise oh
I dey cut my coat according to my size oh
How I want dey steal Maggi from market
When I get the spice”
Oh Yemi Alade, she just keeps churning more and more songs out for her fans. She is as hardworking as ever. With so much talent, energy and positive vibe (well when she’s not hurling insults on social media). She practically released this new song a day after the single Oga.
The intro to the song starts with a scream from Yemi Alade "Awon Slay Mama". The intro instruments are quite lively and not so bad.
For a song with horrible lyrics, the melody is not bad at all. Yemi's ability to string together a couple of unrelated words together and make it sounds great is a testament to her talent and potentials as a musician.
It is without a doubt that Yemi Alade has a great vocal, but we feel it is being underused most times. She did put on a decent vocal performance for this song.
The lyrics of the song got us wondering what the song is about. Is the song about the messy Choir Master? Slay Mamas that open and Close or a narcissistic song about herself. The song is practically a bit of everything. The lyrics of the song is an ugly caricature mashup of completely unrelated storylines that got us completely confused for the most part of the song. Dear Yemi, we love you very much, even though you seem to believe the opposite. We are advising you to work on your writing skills or hire a professional writer for better lyrics, sincerely, this is not us stroking you but giving you a loving advice.
The lyrics of the song is completely unrelated and scanty. However, the melody is another ball game. If you are a Yemi Alade fan, then you should go ahead and download the song. However, we do not feel this song is good enough to win new fans for Yemi Alade.
