“As you see me I be Oga, no be package oh
As you see me
Dem dey call me chairman oh
And even if you follow me go my village
Dem dey feely me ooooh
As you see me For we side na big boys oh”
Yemi Alade is feeling like a boss/diva. In this new song titled “Oga” which means boss. In this song, she does some self-eulogy. An interesting concept after just recently being a slave to a “Crazy Love” with Flavour. Or almost losing her mind in “Oh My Gosh”. Okay enough of our cheekiness, let’s get into the review pronto.
The song starts with a lively intro, the introduction of Yemi Alade's sound into the mix was seamless and a nice experience.
The lyrics of the song lets us know what the song is about, we were able to get the message she was trying to pass across. However, the lyrics of the song will not score very high, at best it earns a decent score as there is nothing special about it.
The melody of the song is memorable and tuneful, we were able to enjoy it.
Yemi Alda's vocals were audible, we could hear everything she was singing. We could also feel the laid-back feeling from her as is proper with this kind of song.
The instrumentals did well to keep us engaged. Nothing compelling but at least something that piques our interest and compliments the song simultaneously.
The song would have been better with a video. We just Imagined Yemi Alade as a boss on a chair and all.
