SONIC EXPERIENCE!

Yemi Alade is out with a new song! The song is titled “Give Them”. The song is another Afropop song with a strong influence from South African sounds in the song. African songs seem to be drawing inspiration from other African countries these days and we usually like the rich sound of the song. Give them is one of such song. It has a peculiar but interesting sound.

Positives

The song starts with a very rich sound from the very beginning. However, we noticed some sort of echo in the song. Was it the version we were listening to or is that how the song truly is. We listened to the song from another source and it was like that.
We absolutely loved the melody of the song. If there is one thing Yemi Alade is blessed with it has to be to make a song sound great! We loved the richness of sound in the song.

Negatives

At this point, we were not even disappointed. We really did not expect Yemi Alade to take her time to write meaning lyrics. Qevare used to her repetitive and not so great lyrics. We will actually be surprised if Yemi Alade releases a song with actual good lyrics.
What is ironic is that the song had potentials for the lyrics to be developed further, but, hey, that is too much work. "Let's just cover it up with a nice melody and beat"
We struggled to hear Yemi Alade clearly for most of the song. Was it because of the filter or just the mixing of the song? we cannot really tell. All we know while it's not terrible. It is not aw clear as most songs out there. You actually have to make an effort to hear her well.
