After a prolonged absence in the music scene, Ycee is finally back. This time with a rather amusing song> We found the song amusing because it took a long while of extended listening to the song to realise the song was supposed to be a love song> Well, you really cannot fault us for taking so much time figuring that out because he did mention a lot of unrelated things in the song.
The intro instrumentals piqued our interest. It just a set of simple tunes from a piano, however, it was enough to keep us curious. Then the intro of Ycee's vocals was not half bad at all.
The melody of the song is actually great, we enjoyed it. Ycee did manage to string the lines together and make them sound good and melodic. It was not a bad melody performance at all.
Interesting and captivating instrumentals from Brym, apparently, Ycee also helped in the production of the song. While we like the beat, we felt at a point in time, it was getting overly too loud and it made hearing what Ycee was saying even harder.
The lyrics of the song is just everywhere. I mean we were almost a minute into the song before we could figure out the storyline behind the song. There was a lot of fluff and unrelated things in the lyrics of the song. It seemed to us that Ycee did not have anything concrete to sing about?
The vocals of the song was a love and hate affair for us. In fact, it seems like the love was simply superficial. The vocals sounded great, Ycee put in a decent performance to make the song sound good, however, we struggled most times to hear him. It was a drag really and this was probably one of the reasons why it took us so long to figure out what the song was about. We wish his vocal performance was audible enough and we did not have to strain most times while listening to the song.
