The YBNL Mafia Family recently released an album with an array of different songs. This song was mostly sung and rapped by the YBNL boss himself, Olamide and it is track number one, so you can consider it an intro of some sort. The song is a rather unique one. The tempo of the song is unique and so is the beat and the instrumentals. It is by far one of the most innovative sounds we have heard from Olamide. However, it does feel like we have heard a similar sound from somewhere so perhaps it is not as original as we think?
The song starts very strongly. The starting instrumental sounds unique but yet familiar. Then the welcome and all, not a bad way to start a song. We did enjoy the instrumental of the song.
I guess expecting meaningful lyrics is a fantasy at this point, however, since the song is basically a party song, the lyrics are not that bad. In fact, it is one of those party songs with decent lyrics.
We love the melody. The sound of the song, the melody, the rhythm and harmony are just great. It is quite memorable and tuneful. The sound is not your typical Olamide sound, I mean Olamide sounds like Olamide but the overall feel of the song is something entirely different and it is a "different" we like.
Olamide's vocals were clear and crisp, we were able to hear his vocals clearly without any distortion.
The instrumentals of the song sound great. A blend of the mainstream sound with something new and different. It was not a bad combo at all. We are glad producers are putting in more efforts in the production of their beats.
The song is a nice song and we feel like it deserves a video. In fact, Olamide needs to start working on a video pronto. Furthermore, they need to put this song out there. Their PR teams need to start promoting it, people have a right to listen to this (okay we are just kidding but you get the drift)
