Oh Tiwa, how talented you are. Unfortunately, you have made some not so great choices in your music career. Moving on, Tiwa seems to be everywhere, always churning out something, be it in a collaboration or in single all by herself. Such is the case in her new single titled “One”. Straight into the review we go.

Positives

The intro of the song is beautiful, no we are not talking about the "shabalistical"! that was shouted at the beginning of the song. We were talking about the beautiful rhythm of the beat that introduced us to the song.
The melody of the song the song is not bad, It was well tuned and shapeful song.
The lyrics of the song went indigenous with Yoruba in just about every part of the song. The song is quite abstract but it basically talks about how she's one of the people who get the good things of life.
Tiwa's vocals are great even when she is not trying, the same can be said for this song. She was quite expressive and did the song justice.
The instrumentals are lovely, we could hear heavy varying Yoruba influence in the instrumentals throughout the song.

Negatives

While Tiwa Savage is a great singer and we love her, this song may not be fully appreciated by a sizable number of fans. Mostly because of the hardcore like Yoruba in the song. Just a few Yoruba people will be able to enjoy the song to the fullest.
Furthermore, the song lacks a video, this song would have been better with a video to accompany it.

Lovely tune from Tiwa, if you do not mind the language barrier and the overly Yoruba sound, then this is a song you should add to your playlist.
What are your thoughts about this new single from Tiwa? How will you rate it?
