Nigerian’s dem mama frontier, Timaya releases a new track produced by the baddest, Kel-p with mixing from veteran mix engineer, Suka Sounds. He titled this one ‘Sili-kon’
Sili-kon is a slow tempo vibe produced by Kel-p. The 90bpm instrumental starts some guitar notes, a pipe organ instrument and vocals from Timaya. Timaya gave us soft vocals on this one, with little energy, he waste no time as he sings straight to the point. The entire production has that live feel in it, like it was played live at a bar.
The instrumental sounded like one of Burna boy’s rejected instrumentals that Timaya decided to use. The samples used on the production sounds so much like the ones used on Burna boy ‘On the low’ and ‘Gbona’ songs. Kel-p was quite lazy on this production. Timaya’s lyric wasn’t creative and clear and so was the message he was trying to tell us.
