A laid back song

SONIC EXPERIENCE!

This life I can’t kill myself
I can’t kill myself o
I can’t kill myself
Allow me to flex o

Timaya has no plans of slowing down any time soon after spending a whopping fourteen years in the music industry. Wow, talk about longevity, especially considering how dynamic the music industry is in Nigeria. That’s one heck of a feat!

Positives

The song starts with a beat that sort of sets a laid back atmosphere for the song.
We were able to hear what Timaya was singing without any problems. His vocal performance also matched with the energy of the song.

Negatives

The lyrics of the song are quite boring. We quickly grew tired of the song and we were looking forward to reviewing another song. The song could really use better writing abilities.
The melody of the song is boring, at a point in time we soon began to doze off. Perhaps that was the purpose of the song, to serve as a lullaby.

Bottom Line

This song just felt rather uninteresting, the lyrics are uninspiring, the melody is bland and boring and the rhythm was plain repetitive which even made the song more disengaging.
Oh well, it seemed like the song was more for Timaya than it was for his fans at the end of the day.
