Teni the multitalented next-rated musician is back at it with a new track. This time she features Phyno fino. We had only reviewed a new song Teni only recently got featured on. The track is a groovy song with heavy beats, Afropop genre rolled into HipHop. Generally, the song sounds great. Let’s delve into the review, shall we?
We absolutely the way the song started. The beat of the song killed it from the very beginning. It made the song more interesting and engaging.
Teni's vocals are great; she does not even need to try to flex the prowess of her vocals. we liked her vocal performance in this song. Phyno's vocals were also befitting of the song and it made the song sound great. We could hear what they were both singing quite clearly.
Power of cool is a cool song steeped in Afropop, with a bit of fuji undertones, here and there. We also love how the song flowed into Hip Hop when it was Phyno's turn to rap.
The instrumentals of the song may seem a bit heavy, however, they fit the song perfectly. We loved the rhythmic sound the beat produced. It set a nice tempo and feeling for the song
Power cool is a rather shallow song in terms of lyrical depth. Furthermore, Teni spent a long part of a short song saying "Tom tom for my pocket". Yeah we know the song is a promotion song for Tom Tom ambassadors of Tom Tom, we felt they could have done with a better-written script.
