Oh Uyo
Uyo Meyo leun o san o kan mi o e
Eh yeh

Teniola also known as Teni Makanaki or TeniEntertainer on Twitter capped off a glorious with another single. The single is titled “Uyo Meyo” in her Ondo dialect. The phrase simply refers to happiness and joy. This is so for her because in the same year she got introduced to most of her now diehard fans she also became a force to reckon with in the Music Industry. No new act shined as bright as Teni in 2018, not even the vastly talented Peruzzi (sorry mate, you still need to have a couple of stand-alone singles to get to Teni’s level).

This song is a well written one, it takes the creativity and ingenuity of the Ondo Yoruba dialect, with a little bit of English and Nigerian-English mixed in this very rich blend. The song tells the story of her hustle and struggles while also motivating everyone out there listening to the song (“You were born a winner”). This is surely the year we will see Teni grow even more as Musician and all those collaborations you have been praying for

Positives

An almost perfect way to start a song, the only reason we won't say that it is perfect is so it will not seem like we are just gassing up Teni. The intro of the song starts with a subtle instrumental and then Teni's vocals. She then went ahead ton proceed into the song seamlessly.
The lyrics of the song strikes a very deep and relatable chord in most people. I mean she is basically telling us that we can accomplish our dreams with a beautiful voice. The switch to Yoruba, to English and then Nigerian-English is lovely. In terms of lyrical depth, the song earns high ratings.
Teni is, without doubt, a talented Musician when it comes to vocal renditions. In fact, it does feel like we have discovered a rare talent that can mix proper renditions and meaningful lyrics. We just hope the craze of meaningless and thoughtless lyrics does not affect Teni.
The melody of the song is engaging, we were entertained throughout the periods we were listening to the song. The melody did well to harmonise with the rhythm of the song.

Negatives

The only negative we got from the song is perhaps the limits Yoruba poises to the non-speaking fans, more so the Ondo dialect. But hey, the fans were not really complaining.

We all know teni with the fire vocals, she never dissapoints. the kind of song you just keep vibing your head to. The beats Synced, the mixing, the mastering. every thing about the song seemed perfect but... less i forget the backup was FIRE!
    Negatives
Well, the dialect but that also gave vibe to the song. I believe the song could be better if she gave it to someone like Shizzi, get my point am not saying this is bad, but we all want better, dont we?

uyo meyo, uyo meyoooooo… lol.. sing with me.
Teni is to watched 2019, that girl keeps bringing fire. my teni of life, teni askamaya, teni makanaki.
the song is almost 100% right from when she posted the freestyle video on her instagram page… though still wonder why she didnt give it to someone like shizzi or pheelz that specialize in solemn dancehall and still give you good studio vocals… Great song
