SONIC TRAINWRECK!

“Sugar Mummy, sugar mummy
Sugar daddy, Sugar daddy
Lolly popping, Lolly popping
Poppin lolly, Poppin lolly
Send me credit, Send me credit
10 thousan, 10 thousan
Credit alert, Credit alert
10 million, 10 million”

For the first time, Teni releases an Afrobeat themed song, the name of the song is Sugar Mummy and it was produced by Rexxie. The song is quite different from what we usually get from Teni. The song has a comic relief atmosphere to it.

Positives

The song starts with an array of instrumentals followed by the intro of Teni. It's either you notice her own vocal intro and be appalled or you completely not notice it and you are already seamlessly listening to the song. There is no in between.

Negatives

The lyrics of the song are absolutely abysmal. The quality of the lyrics was not impressive one song;e bit. Furthermore, there were times she struggled with the quality of the structure of the lyrics.
The melody of the song is bland and we really did not enjoy it. One would think that someone that has consistently delivered a melodious song to our times without number will not be capable of producing something as caricature as this. Oh well, that is to let us know that no matter how good a musician is there will always be that one song which will be a stain of some sort.

Bottom Line

This is our least favourite Teni song so far and we really did not enjoy it even though we had been looking forward to her new release for a while now.
