It has been months since Tems hit us with Try Me and we’ve been savoring for more music from the soulful pop singer. Tems decided to surprise us with a new single on Tuesday the 19th of May titled, These Days. The record was produced by Rvdical The Kid.
Read the review below:
Rvdical made a very solemn RnB instrumental with minimal drum patterns, soft RnB chord progressions, and occasional vocal samples. The instrumental already set the pace for Tems' delivery. Tems delivered a performance with a swirling mix of emotions. She sang with a gloomy but sweet vocal cadence as she recounts a relationship that caused a huge dent with dark days. The overall production was great and the vocals were clear and audible.
The overall structure of the record was flawed and made the song uninteresting. It sounded the same from the start to the finish. There was no build-up to anything. It felt like a long journey on a sunny country road, leading to nowhere with just deserts by the roadside.
