Everyone seems to want to feature Davido these days, from One Ticket to Divine and the members of DMW. Davido and a certain other Musician have become household names in the Musical Industry. Skales decided to follow suit, “hey, maybe I can get a hit of a song if I feature Davido?” That’s what you are probably thinking eh Skales?

Positives

The melody of the song seemed like the only redeeming part of the song, it got us engaged for a while till we lost interest.
The vocals would have sounded great if the beats had allowed us to hear the vocals properly. The beats kept n getting in our way.
Davido's part of the song did breathe some life in the song, we enjoyed his part to some extent.

Negatives

Hello Milla, what exactly went wrong with the mixing of this song. I mean it is bad enough that the beat itself has a generic feel to it (we are staring at you Princeton) now we also have to put up with horrible mixing. We could barely hear the vocals well, the beats kept getting in our way. We soonest got tired of listening to the song and felt like abandoning the song mid-review.
We are actually disappointed as we got quite excited when we heard there was a new song from Skales and Davido, in fact, we were jumping with joy. So imagine our disappointment.
The rhythm of the song was not good enough, it sounded too repetitive, short, uninspiring and boring.

Bottom Line

After playing this song for some of our staff, some went as far as saying this song will be listened to by only the immediate family and friends of the people involved in making the song.
While we would not be downloading this song and adding it to our playlist, we also feel that maybe it needs time to grow on us? Then again why should good songs be needing time to grow on us?
What would you rate this new single from Skales and Davido?
