After the release of her sophomore album, Simi is back again with a new song titled, Selense. The Afro-pop record was produced by hitmaker, V-Tek. Listen below:
The song started with nice guitar riffs played with the lead guitar and bass guitar and some nicely arranged African percussions. The production was soft with mostly highlife melodies to give shine to Simi's vocals and the message she was trying to pass across. Simi's vocals have always been a joy to listen to. Her unique smooth vocals blended well with the arrangement of the beat. The song took the call and response pattern in the chorus, as she generally sang about the importance of not procrastinating because time waits for no man.
Fans waited so long for a new solo song from Simi and they got the remix of Ayo. The song sounded like another version of her hit single, Ayo. She hasn't even exhausted Ayo yet because the song is still on the air-wave. Now she has decided to give us Ayo 2.0. Generally, the song was boring, probably because it sounds exactly like something she has done before.
