Simi is currently having the time of her life. She got married to the lover of her life, Adekunle Gold and they exchanged their vows. This is another song in which she hopes to get joy and happiness in everything she does.
We get treated to an array of Yoruba instrumentals at the beginning of the song with the seamless introduction of Simi's vocals to the fray.
The song is obviously about her finding happiness in her marriage. Listening and watching the song made us teary and we could just not help it. It's an emotional song that highlights the newly wed's search for happiness.
The melody of the song is quite slow and had a deep influence of Yoruba sounds in it. A mixture of alternative music with rhythm and blues.
We enjoyed the story of the video, it kept us glued to our screen to know what was going to happen when she eventually found Adekunle Gold.
Many people that do not understand Yoruba may find it difficult to know what the song is all about. However, the video is quite explanatory and it does tell an engaging story, well, until the end.
We expected a more convincing end to her search after we followed it wholeheartedly. We were let down at the end, only just slightly.
An ending with him kneeling down somewhere and proposing to her would have been better before they proceeded to show their traditional wedding.
