Plot Synopsis

A laidback YOLO kind of song

SONIC EXPERIENCE!

“Elegushi for Sunday
57 (*Club) for friday
I go to Quilox
We’ popping bottles
Everybody dey shaye
We no too get time jare
E fi mi le jen jaiye
E ma worry my body o
E ma kpa mi before my time o eh”

Shizzi did well to feature two of the coolest kids in the block, I mean everyone knows Teni is on fire, heck Teni knows Teni is on fire and the Mayor of Lagos is not doing too badly himself. In fact, this was like a collaboration everyone wanted but they had not known yet. Shizzi recently featured Ceeza Milli in a collaboration. He seems to know what he is doing and he has left the singing to talented musicians to do that part, unlike a certain producer.

Positives

The song starts with an array of instrumentals, it was like an assorted collection really. Then the intro vocals, Mayorkun and Teni, it was seamless and nice.
The lyrics of the song is quite laidback, so do not expect anything deep. It's basically that YOLO (You Only Live Once) vibe, I mean literally.
The melody of the song is nice, we enjoyed it with the rhythm of the song, together they created a decent harmony.
We enjoyed the vocals of the song, They were clear and crisp without any distortions. Then their renditions were not bad at all. Especially verses 3 and verse 2.
The instrumentals were like a mixture of mainstream sounds and more unique and original ones. It was not a bad combo at all.

Negatives

The song's rhythm became kind of repetitive and we soon started to get bored.

Bottom Line

This is a nice song provided you do not listen to it back to back for long periods. It does not reach the heights we usually get from her. But hey, this proves she is human and this is in no way bad at all. JUst that not all songs can be like case or Uyo Meyo.

    Positives
The instrumental is a beautiful piece, the percussions feels right, the drumrolls and kicks are in tune. Shizzi as usual is a master at giving us mad as* beats. The hook is laid-back, more like a beer parlour or Yoruba "oju agbo" flow. The rythmn and melody are fair as the feel keeps you in a certain vibe while the song seems like a "lavish" type.
    Negatives
The lyrics aren't quite impressive as the song sounds more like a playful freestyle.

Cool jam… Although it wasn’t taken as serious as I would have loved , Teni and Mayorkun did justice to the beat still. They understood the flow and that was important.
