Lyrics: Sarkodie – Do You ft. Mr Eazi

[Intro]
Na me go marry am (Yes)
I supposed to marry am
What else…

Na me go marry am
(Another Guilty Beats)
I supposed to marry am
[Mr Eazi]
I just want to know
Baby do you ever think of me anymore
Baby do you, do you
Me say I just want to know
Ilobi do you ever think of me anymore
Ilobi do you (Baby do you miss me) Do you
[Sarkodie]
I know say me and you no be together But
Sometimes I dey wonder if you remember that
We used to talk about the about the way we go married
Nobody for came between us…
Do you ever think about the sex
Do you ever think about going back to your ex
I hope say (..) stress
Everything happen for a reason but do you regret
Do you miss me (…)
I don’t wanna cause trouble Am a little tipsy
……… whisky
I can’t imagine life without you when am 60 so
I just wanna know how you dey feel
I know say you move on But me dey still
Girl I miss the Netflix and chill
Me I just wanna keep you real
[Mr Eazi]
I just want to know
Baby do you ever think of me anymore
Baby do you, do you
Me say I just want to know
Ilobi do you ever think of me anymore
Ilobi do you (Baby do you miss me) Do you
[Sarkodie]
So if, wanna see your face Would you wanna (yes)
I swear to God me no starting drama
If you know the light tell me cos me ain’t ready for Karma
(…)
Me and you had connection on a level
(…) no be the devil
(indigenous language)
I don’t even know where to begin
Odo…
[Mr Eazi]
I just want to know
Baby do you ever think of me anymore
Baby do you, do you
Me say I just want to know
Ilobi do you ever think of me anymore
Ilobi do you (Baby do you miss me) Do you

A new song from Sarkodie featuring our very own Mr Eazi. Sarkodie being touted as arguably the best rapper in West Africa, it does seem like he merits it. Perhaps he will manage to prove that again in this new song featuring Mr Eazi. Do you is a criss-cross between Hip Hop and Afropop. Even though Mr Eai is more known for his unique style of music. The primary genre influence in this song is Afropop.

Positives

Do you start with an affirmation " Na me go marry am, I suppose to marry am". This line was gotten fro Zaaki Azzay's then hit titled "Na me go marry am". In a way, the intro brought a sort of retro feeling associated with this Zaaki's song.
On the bright side, barring the quality of the lyrics, the lyrical structure is not bad and the plot development does manage to make the song sound progressive.
Mr Eazi managed to impress us with his vocal renditions. He s not really known for this kind of vocal performance. He seemed to utilise his vocal range more in this song compared to his previous songs. At the end of the day, their vocals were clear without any hearing issues.
Afropop meets Hip Hop, this is probably one of the more popular kinds of collaborations in West Africa. Both artists managed to deliver a nice sounding song. The song is quite tuneful and melodious.

Negatives

Yet another love song. Decent lyrics but that is just about it when it comes to the quality of lyrics. This is in the negative section not because the lyrics are terrible but rather because it lacks originality and depth. It was lacklustre writing really.

Bottom Line

Do you is just one of those songs that teethers in the average section. we do not really see the song being a hit, jut average popularity. It's not the kind of song Sonic wants to rush and add to his playlist
