SONIC EXPERIENCE!

“Oh Oh Oh! Yeh iye eh
Knocking on your door woouh oo…
Oh Oh Oh, maka ije love em oh
Oh Oh Oh I be knocking on your door
Woouh oo…Oh Oh Oh!
Ready to do many things
For the sake of love ooh
Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh”

A new song for Runtown fresh off a new collaboration with Seyi Shay, titled Gimme Love. This song is another love song, it’s about a girl Runtown has romantic interests in. Apparently, he is willing to do anything for her, well, he has to win her first, doesn’t he?

Positives

The intro of the song is an interesting one, a bit too loud for us but still engaging all the way. We like the way the particular sound faded away to give room for Runtown's vocal intro.
The lyrics of the song is quite clear, it passes the message well. We were able to tell that it was about a girl he was romantically interested in, albeit it was too repetitive for us.
The melody of the song is decent, nothing special, just enough to get us through the review.
Runtown's vocals were clear and crisp, it would have been more audible if the instrumentals were not a tad too loud.
The instrumentals of the song were varied at the beginning but after then, it seemed boring.

Negatives

The intro was too loud for us, we found ourselves having to adjust our volume.
The lyrics lacked any musical depth and it was way too repetitive and boring.
The melody of the song started to sound flat and bland after a while, we started losing interest in the song altogether.
The instrumentals did not do it for us, Del B could have done a better job or was it the mixing that went wrong? The instrumentals got in our way of enjoying the song just about everytime, too loud and bland.

Bottom Line

We are glad that this song does not sound too similar to Mad Over You as we are used to hearing most of his songs sound. It was a welcome feeling albeit it was not great.
What are your thoughts about this new song, what ratings would you be giving it?
