A great love song that encourages 50/50 efforts from both parties in a relationship
2
The intro beat was decent, Mayorkun's sound was decent but Rose May Alaba? That is how to do a song intro! When we heard her voice in the intro we were surprised. We so did not see it coming.
The lyrics of the song are direct and straight to the point. The song basically talks about how love relationships should be fifty-fifty (50/50) from both parties. Not only did we quickly get the message of the song? We endorse the message and these are the kind of songs we really should be listening to.
The melody of the song is great! Rose May Alaba killed it and Mayorkun was not getting left behind. He did well to keep up. If anything he brought an additional flare and different sound to the song. A welcome addition we must say.
The vocals are out of this world (okay we may be exaggerating a little bit but hey, she's good). We could hear the authenticity, it was convincing and at some point mesmerising her voice. We enjoyed the different pitches of Rose May Alaba's vocals and the same can be said about Mayorkun, we liked and enjoyed his own tempo.
The instrumentals of the song are decent, they did well to give the song that additional sound while not competing for attention. It set a good rhythm for the song.
This is a lovely song to listen to, nice mid-tempo jam. Well suited for resting hours or even dancing when you are quite energetic. You can even add it to your gym playlist if you are not having a high-intensity workout.
We will be adding this song to our playlist and leave it on replay for a while.
