Rema didn’t just surprise us with Beamer, he gave us a trap offering titled, Rainbow. The emo record was produced by Deevee.
Rema's sonic versatility sprung out on this record again. Rema's trap style can be likened to the likes of Trippie Reid, the late XXXtentacion, and the late JuiceWrld. He makes cloud rap/trillwave music that is accustomed to emo rappers.
Deevee made a hazy and simple trap instrumental that was both hi-fi and lo-fi, giving room for Rema's vocal to shine. Rema's vocal definitely shined. His voice was clear, crisp and audible compared to other cloud rap songs.
This record sounds like every other emo record out there. There was no clear innovative motive. It's just another JuiceWRLD record or just another XXXtentacion record.
