Plot Synopsis

An uptempo afro-pop record

Qdot starts 2020 with an up-tempo song called, Jaiye. The record was produced by 2T Boyz.

Listen below:

Positives

Qdot's unique style is unmatched. His smooth blend of Apala music with afro-pop is a creative way of making music. He has really mastered the art of perfectly blending the two genres.

Negatives

The song started like a Small Doctor's song, from the instrumental to the call and response style. If Qdot didn't introduce himself, I would have thought he was Small Doctor.
The song was boring still. As fast as it was, it was still a snooze fest and we couldn't keep up. The instrumental sounded like they interpolated Small Doctor's Nzogbu and just looped it. His vocal dexterity was nice, but his melodies were too monotonous and boring.
