SONIC EXPERIENCE!

Another request to review another Peter Benjamin song. Moving from a deep moving song to a more worldly one.

Positives

Very typical start from a Nigerian song, strong instrumentals from the beginning. For some reasons, when Peter began singing, we started reminiscing about Mr Eazi's Holy Water.

Negatives

A rather repetitive and uninspiring lyrics. Perhaps we are being too harsh because we held the singer to so very high standard considering the previous song of his we reviewed.
The melody of the song could have been better, the repetitiveness of the lyrics and rhythm meant that the melody lost any allure it had at first.
The instrumentals were beginning to sound like a fast version of Mr Eazi's Pour me water instrumentals with some additional tinkering. Perhaps this was just coincidental, beats are bound to sound similar these days. Furthermore, the rhythm of beat got us bored sooner than we wanted.

Bottom Line

While the idea of the song is not bad, we just feel like everything was a bad match for the song. The song started getting it wrong with the lyrics, then the melody which is perhaps the most important part of a mainstream song. It just did not sound tuneful enough for us.
This is a time to go back and develop even more creative songs. We suggest starting with better lyrics, at least not so repetitive ones.
