Every Friday na my birthday, every night I might do the most
All my friends think say I Dey joke, cos I no Dey drink and I no Dey smoke
But I get drunk when you are thirsty and I get high when you are alone wow
This kain level you Dey go, which kain level you Dey give me so
This kain level we Dey go, if you want me make you call me make we go”
Canadian based Nigerian Rhythm and Blues singer, Nonso Amadi features another foreign-based Nigerian artist, this time a rapper in the UK, Kida Kudz. This is an eclectic blend of rich rhythm and blues sound with modern hip-hop.
Nonso Amadi is, without doubt, a very talented musician. The song starts with a modern mid-tempo RnB beat, then the seamless introduction of his vocals. It gave us the feel of an international song, well, he did say international at the beginning.
The vocals of the song are clear and we loved Nonso Amadi's vocal rendition. His song was sonorous and it gave us this cool kid in the block feeling.
Great vocals, decent lyrics and a tuneful melody to top it up. Nonso sure knows how to produce good music. A mid-tempo jam that will get you nodding your head. Lovely rhythm which in turn leads to a nice harmony.
The only concern will be that the song sounds to foreign if that is even a thing?
This is the first time we will be hearing this kind of song from Nonso Amadi, I mean it's good to be laid back sometimes and not always too serious. This is that mid-tempo jam that a lot of young people can relate to.
