Whenever you see the queen of Afro-house featured in a song, be assured you aren’t having a dull moment. In the build-up to the carnival 2020 in Trinidad n Tobago, Caribbean hitmakers, Precision Global music featured Queen of Afro-house music Niniola on a project which is titled Pocket (bitter-sweet riddim)
Whenever I see Niniola on a track, I download right away. Niniola didn’t disappoint as she uses her seductive vocals in romancing the 105bpm instrumental. The song starts with human vocal samples humming followed by Nini’s vocals leading us through the song. The Caribbean hitmakers; Precision gave us an easy groovy instrumental that allowed Niniola to express herself on it. Pocket is an easy listening song that can be played at a house party.
Pocket is supposed to be a riddim; which was not very noticeable throughout the song. It sounded like a regular Afro-house music. The humming vocals that backed Niniola in the song at some point weren’t necessary as they made the song dull at some point.
From the beginning of the song to the end, it is hard not to notice a Sarz or Major Lazer feel on the production. One might mistake the producer of the song to be either Sarz or Major-Lazer.
