A song that encourages some rather illegal ways to make money

“Getting money in bundle bundle
Blessings na double double
For this money na royal rumble
Getting money in bundle bundle
Blessings na double double
For this money na royal rumble”
A new song from Naira Marley featuring Lil Kesh and well you already have an idea the kind of song this is. It goes without saying that Lil Kesh is well known for his rather vulgar lyrics and he doesn’t seem like hew ill be a reformed man any time from now.
The tiny voice at the beginning of the song had a comic relief to it and kind of got the song starting well actually.
The melody of the song is actually not bad. It did give us the occasional fuji pop sound mixed with Hip Hop ( at least that is what they will call their genre of music).
It seems the so-called "role models" and "influencers" will keep on encouraging the not so morally right and legal way of making money. They seem to pass a message that the end justifies the meansns; whatever you do to make money, especially Online Scam is okay so long as you make the money. That narrative seriously needs to change and the music industry is one of the first places the change needs to be effected.
Their Hip Hop did not feel so Hip Hop, the song felt mostly like a lazy attempt even down to the beat of the song. It sounded like we had heard this beat or a variation of it for the umpteenth time.
At the end of the day, the song fails to impress, it does not have a structural genre of music, it fails woefully in lyrics and the melody, especially the "Hip Hop" part failed to impress.
