Here is Soapy by Naira Marley; another piece of music that has trended this year and we haven’t reviewed. The record was produced by Rexxie.

Listen below:

Positives

O te se le bo! has to be the intro of 2019. Naira Marley has been known to create controversial music and this is no different. Rexxie came through with an up-tempo afro-pop beat that hits hard. The kick, the snare, and the shakers were played inter-woven manner. The xylophone-like synth was the highlight of the beat. Rexxie made the hardest beat of 2019 with Soapy. Unlike his other song, Naira Marley's vocals were clear and on the beat. His delivery, flows, and rhythm were top-notch.

Negatives

One thing that Naira Marley is known for is the wayward lifestyle that he doesn't seem to hide in his lyrics. When the song started, it sounded like it was going to have a good plot with the first verse, talking about how humans ignore their ignorance and hypocrisy. When the chorus came in, he went off and started talking about the different kinds of people that masturbate. I'm still yet to understand how these two concepts correlate.

Bottom Line

Whatever our opinion is, this is still one of the biggest songs of 2019.
