When Peanut Butter Meets Jelly, you know that that sandwich is one made in heaven, such is the case of this song. A collaboration between Mr Eazi and Burna Boy was honestly unprecedented even though we had always enjoyed their songs, from Property to Gbona and the likes. We got really excited doing this Music Review.
The intro of the song is a catchy one, it got us engaged all through the review. We really enjoyed the beat, the tune and bass that was playing in the background. It was a wonderful experience for us. Even Mr Eazi's vocal inro was very welcoming and it blended well with the intro beat.
The melody of the song is lovely, we enjoyed the tempo of the song throughout. The blend of Afropop and Dancehall was ecstatic for us. The melody of the song is memorable and tuneful.
The lyrics, while they are not very deep, made us understand what the song was about straight away. We knew the song was all about a man that misses his girlfriend after a breakup caused by him cheating.
The instrumentals of the song are well varied and balanced. We loved the occasional pause/fade in the song, it allowed the vocals even shine more.
The vocals of the song were crisp and clear, we heard just about everything they were singing.
The only negative in the song for us will be that the song lacks a video. We would really like a video for the song.
This song is currently one of our favourite jams right now. In case you are wondering if the song is a real-life interpretation, you know, maybe he has broken up with Temi Otedola, well, so are we. Although, we doubt it. If it was an experience it could be a past one. We will definitely be adding this song to our playlist and we will be leaving it on repeat for a while.
