SONIC SOUL!

It is official, Yemi Alade is worldwide  International, after all, she got featured in the new Beyonce curated Lion King Gift album to be released soon. Now she is being featured by MHD, a popular French rapper. In case you live under a rock and you do not know who Yemi Alade is she is a talented and sensational Afropop Musician with questionable lyrical tastes. The video of Holla was released on the 13th of July and well, let’s just say the song has made an impression on us!

You can watch the video below

Positives

Holla starts in the best possible way, the starting beat is great, the use of the chorus for an ephemeral intro. From the intro fo the song, we could tell that the song was going to be engaging and appealing to our ears.
Wow! We never thought a time would come when we would hear Yemi Alade sing with not just decent lyrics but actual lyrics. We love her first verse. In fact, we have a small confession, we had thought it was someone singing, for one the voice sounded a little bit thicker albeit similar to the chorus voice. Secondly, the lyrics just sounded way too good to be an actual Yemi Alade lyrics. We were put to shame though after we confirmed she was the one. Somehow, we feel like we have just experienced history in the making and all we ask for is more quality lyrics from her.
The vocals of the song are mind-blowing, we had always known that Yemi Alade had always had great vocals and talent, all we wanted was or her writing skills to catch up (and maybe her conduct online too?). It was a delectable affair and we enjoyed every part of the song.
The melody of holla is scintillating, the sweet serenading sounds being produced, mixin and blending like when you make the ultimate sandwich combo.
