Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) is on fire, practically all the members are releasing one song or the other, whether the songs become hits is another thing. We love their energy, the drive and passion. Posh was released last month by Mayorkun with another single called Fantasy; we have been hearing references about “posh”, “uber” and whatnots for a while now and we did not get it till we listened to the song.

The song starts with a Davido looking guy- but obviously not Davido – coming out of a Porsche and handing the keys to Mayorkun

Positives

The song tells a story of the luxurious lifestyle Mayorkun and perhaps the rest of DMW live; talking about when he buys a Porsche, he won't be taking Uber or public transportation again.
The song made reference to the END SARS campaign that successfully got the Government to Reform SARS (we really hope they do). Not only did the video support the END SARS Campaign but it shows how SARS harass young guys because they are looking good or drive good cars. It ends with a message for the Nigerian Police:
POLICE BRUTALITY IS A VIRUS THAT LEADS TO HATE AND FEEDS CRIME.
POLICE IS YOUR FRIEND!!!

Negatives

There are way too many repetitions in the song for our liking, it's like Mayorkun ran out of things to say. It was just a very lazy set of lyrics without depth.

Bottom Line

Aspiring to buy the fastest and most luxurious cars may just get you listening to Posh frequently. It is a totally relatable song as everyone dreams of buying the best cars, living la vida loca and going to church to brag, sorry testify about these blessings.
