Plot Synopsis

Afro-beat

Still from Maleek’s new project, ‘Isolation Room’, Sunshine is the fourth track off the project.

Positives

Maleek has never failed when it comes to crafting good instrumentals, this afro-beat sound is something any good artist would want to try out. Maleek made a good afro-beat sound and fused it with smooth urban vocals, the record began with traditional Afro-drum sequence, smooth guitar melodies, soft Afro-jazz chords and vocals from MB. This is a record you would play in your leisure time. Maleek sings about his girl, his sunshine.

Negatives

MB didn't exactly do justice to his well crafted instrumental, the song sounded like he was just playing around with the mic in the studio, we believe this record would have been better, with exceptional vocal artistry.

Bottom Line

Maleek Berry's 'Sunshine' is that record you would play on a relaxation period or that song you would use to 'pass the time'.
