Ace producer, singer, and songwriter, Maleek Berry released a new body of work titled ‘Isolation room’, the ep housed six tracks of which ‘Far away’ is the first on the list.

Positives

Maleek vocal artistry over the past years has not been disappointing, so when we heard this song, we knew he wouldn't disappoint when it comes to delivering sensational lyrics and melodies. The beautifully crafted instrumental by veteran duet producers, Lengendury Beatz made it easy and fun for MB to play through it. The urban Afro song begins with a regular urban trap drum sequence, simple major chords progressions, simple 808's, vocals from MB, and underlying melodies.

Negatives

Maleek Berry didn't give us anything exciting or new, this is a regular sound, any upcoming artist can create this. He sounded like he wasn't prepared to record this, this song sounded more like a freestyle than a written song.

Bottom Line

'Far Away' is that song you play to kill time, a bit cliche, but fun to listen.
