“Uh baby yea
It’s your time
Girl no look face
Live your life
Make we catch the vibe o all night
Roll the thing for daddy
You’re all mine
Mine wo wowowowo”
The multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer Maleek Berry who for some strange reasons does not get the recognition he deserves released a new song late last year without much fanfare and publicity. The song is an Afropop soundtrack dedicated to a girl.
The song starts with some heavy instrumentals. Not too heavy but just about enough for us to notice. The intro of the song is actually not bad. It does start off strongly without much progression though.
The melody of the song is unique and not very common, we enjoyed the sound, it was quite tuneful and memorable
While we understand that the song is a love song, we found it difficult to really get the message he was trying to pass across. Was he trying to convince her to love him? Ws he trying to tell her that she was the best in the world among some other things?
It seemed like Maleek Berry just could not make up his mind or did he just want as many things as possible? Talk about an Oliver Twist!
There were times in which it felt like we could not hear what Maleek Berry was singing. This was not because of the quality of the production or mix. This is more because of the style of singing Maleek Berry Used in the song.
