Plot Synopsis

A song of Inspiration from Mandira to her fans

Verses

Cynthia Morgan, errm sorry Madrina, (we are still getting used to the name) is at it again. After rebranding, she has decided to grace us with a new single titled Lion. Beware, this is not your usual Madrina kind of song, she went full Rastaria in this song. In this song, she basically encourages her fans to believe in themselves.

Positives

A welcome development from Madrina, the message the song hopes to pass across is concise and clear.
The melody of the song is a feel good one and a fresh breath from the type we have heard for so long. It gives us this feeling of calm and serenity. Because of the uniqueness and scantiness of contemporary reggae songs in Nigeria, one can say this song is a memorable one.
We could hear just about everything Mandira was saying in this song so obviously are vocals were clear and crisp. Not only were they clear and crisp but we could hear the strong conviction in her voice. All in all, it was a good performance. The beats of the song did well to compliment the song, it completely gave us that much-needed reggae feel.

Negatives

We are still trying to come to terms with the change name form Cynthia Morgan to Mandira. Mandria sounds like a completely different and strange person. The name is too different and we wonder how the name change will actually affect the popularity of the song. Unless of course, we have to always include the phrase "Formerly Cynthia Morgan" every time we talk about Mandira.

Bottom Line

While this is a great song, the rebranding may affect the success of the song, it feels like the song would have been a lot more popular under the name Cynthia Morgan, as opposed to Mandra.
What do you think about this new inspirational song from Mandira, did you enjoy it? Kindly leave your comments, review and ratings below for us to see.
