Plot Synopsis

The song talks about all the nonsense they cannot take.

When we saw the names; Burna Boy, 2Baba and D’banj in one song we were really excited, I mean Larry Gaga got to feature three A-list Musicians in a song together. Imagine our surprise when we finished listening and watching the song and learnt that Larry Gaga did not even utter a single note. Matter of fact, Burna Boy did most of the heavy lifting followed by 2Baba and D’Banj, well he played his Harmonica and said Bangalee at the end.

Positives

Burna Boy without a doubt is a musical prodigy; we really enjoyed his part of the song (which was the major part of the song anyway). His sound was just sonorous to the ears, we could not help ourselves.
D'Banj's harmonica got us feeling nostalgic, we remembered the good old 'why me' days.
2Baba is what you call a living legend and you are probably tired of hearing that; we also found his part of the song enjoyable and it was a contrasting sound to Burna Boy's rich Afro-fusion sound.

Negatives

We did not get to hear Larry Gaga's sonic representation until the end of the song. We felt he should have at least taken a line or two seeing as he is the one that featured the others. It seemed to us that he just wanted to ride on the success and popularity of the other musicians in the song

Bottom Line

A beautiful rendition by Burna Boy, 2Baba and even D'Banj's harmonica. The song has the makings of a hit song, however, it is not always that straightforward. For us, the song is a little bit above average and it may not have as much stay power as we want it to.
