Plot Synopsis

A Love Song Expressing Discontent in their materialistic Girlfriend

Verses

2

“Loving You Na  Scam O
(Oh I Dun Try)

Every time wire me money
Hello baby, have You sent it (Na wa)
You dunno, even know what you do to me
Shofe kolosho gba mula mi
Olo omoge you be scammer
I dey follow you for back o girl
Baby girl you blow my mind, I no go lie”

Kizz Daniel and Davido decided to work on a song together and I must say this is a potential hit. The storyline is a very relatable one when you listen to the song. The song basically highlights what some guys do go through with their girlfriends. Especially the materialistic ones. Davido and Kizz Daniel expressly declare that if the girl wants to leave she can as well pack up and leave (they will be better for it anyway, after all, she is basically a parasite). Although they are complaining about their girls, they obviously love them as the said in the line “Na because of you I don kolo”.

Positives

Lovely song from Kizz Daniel and Davido. The intro of the song was marvellous. It really did catch our attention and kept us engaged. The song started on a strong note and we loved the intro the most. From the beat to the vocals and even the melody of the song. The Intro was basically screaming "Hey, Pay attention to me. this song playing is a great jam, you really should pay attention"
The melody is your normal spirit lifting groove you will expect from the likes of Davido and KIzz Daniel. We really did enjoy the melody of the song.
The Lyrics were informational and narrative, we were really able to get what was going on in the song; the story Davido and Kizz Daniel were trying to tell. IT was clear and straight to the point.
The Instrumentals of the song was also engaging, especially at the beginning, it was catchy and generally, it is a varied and balance beat.
The vocals of the song are lovely. especially at the beginning part of the song. It made the story sound more convincing, real and retable.
We could hear the passion and depth of what they were going through in Davido and Kizz Daniel's voices.

Negatives

Aside from the clarity, there was nothing particularly intriguing about the lyrics, it just your normal plain lyrics without much depth. It just managed to scratch the surface of an average score in terms of lyrical complexity and depth.
At a point in time, especially mid-song, it was sounding like they were losing tempo. Like the quality of their singing was beginning to wane.

The drama intro is touching and the intro xylophone is captivating. The xylophone beat also faded out adequately. The melody is interesting. Kizz Daniel and Davido's vocals are appealing and confident. The lyrics are amusing and original. The musical accompaniments are engaging. The talking drum beat gave this song an original and solid vibe. The song structure is simple; easy to sing along. The production and recording qualities are excellent. The vocals are clear. The echoing vocals also added beauty to the song. The overall performance of ONE TICKET is fantastic. Davido and Kizz Daniel are professionals.

The song has a sweet melody, the first line -"everytime wire me money"- is very catchy and Davido did a very good job delivering the first verse and hook, he also did a great job ad-libbing and backing up his parts. The song was fairly written and well structured to attract the Nigerian market. The beat is a nice tune and mix of African drums and percussions, clashes at the right time and that afro-melodic feel that blended well with the " beautiful jargons" Kizz was singing. The song was well mixed and mastered.

Kizz Daniel on the other hand wasn't like the usual "Kiss Daniel" we are used to. His voice isn't as soothing, his lyrics on this song doesn't have any depth compared to the 'Kiss Daniel' type of lyrics we know. Although he wrote the whole song including Davido's catchy verse but his verse wasn't as groovy enough to succeed the flow the song began with, I sense a bit of overconfidence while that second verse was being written and recorded. He (Kizz Daniel) is better than that 'overconfidence turning laziness' attitude he pulled on the record.

This is a nice song with a nice rythmn and melodious feel but the story line doesn’t seem to clarify the purpose why the record was made.
