A Love Song Expressing Discontent in their materialistic Girlfriend
2
“Loving You Na Scam O
(Oh I Dun Try)Every time wire me money
Hello baby, have You sent it (Na wa)
You dunno, even know what you do to me
Shofe kolosho gba mula mi
Olo omoge you be scammer
I dey follow you for back o girl
Baby girl you blow my mind, I no go lie”
Kizz Daniel and Davido decided to work on a song together and I must say this is a potential hit. The storyline is a very relatable one when you listen to the song. The song basically highlights what some guys do go through with their girlfriends. Especially the materialistic ones. Davido and Kizz Daniel expressly declare that if the girl wants to leave she can as well pack up and leave (they will be better for it anyway, after all, she is basically a parasite). Although they are complaining about their girls, they obviously love them as the said in the line “Na because of you I don kolo”.
Lovely song from Kizz Daniel and Davido. The intro of the song was marvellous. It really did catch our attention and kept us engaged. The song started on a strong note and we loved the intro the most. From the beat to the vocals and even the melody of the song. The Intro was basically screaming "Hey, Pay attention to me. this song playing is a great jam, you really should pay attention"
The melody is your normal spirit lifting groove you will expect from the likes of Davido and KIzz Daniel. We really did enjoy the melody of the song.
The Lyrics were informational and narrative, we were really able to get what was going on in the song; the story Davido and Kizz Daniel were trying to tell. IT was clear and straight to the point.
The Instrumentals of the song was also engaging, especially at the beginning, it was catchy and generally, it is a varied and balance beat.
The vocals of the song are lovely. especially at the beginning part of the song. It made the story sound more convincing, real and retable.
We could hear the passion and depth of what they were going through in Davido and Kizz Daniel's voices.
Aside from the clarity, there was nothing particularly intriguing about the lyrics, it just your normal plain lyrics without much depth. It just managed to scratch the surface of an average score in terms of lyrical complexity and depth.
At a point in time, especially mid-song, it was sounding like they were losing tempo. Like the quality of their singing was beginning to wane.
This is a lovely song and we really enjoyed it. A passionately put together song by Davido and Kizz Daniel.
We will definitely add this song to our playlist, leave it on replay and jam up to it for a while.
What are your thoughts about this new single by Kizz Daniel and Davido? Did you enjoy the song? How will you rate it?
This is a jam that has a good depth to it. Positive message and also groovy. Great “Sturff”!
I look forward to more collaborations from Kizz Daniel and Davido.
This is a nice song with a nice rythmn and melodious feel but the story line doesn’t seem to clarify the purpose why the record was made.
