SONIC EXPERIENCE!

JoulesDaKid returns with a new single, this time featuring a couple of other musicians. The MUsicians are BOJ and Flowssick, the song is titled Balance. The song is a cross of a couple of genres in Nigeria. From the all too popular afro-pop to hip-hop/rap and then we were treated with dancehall.

Positives

The Intro instrumentals is an interesting one, it got us compelled to want to continue listening to the song. It was further complimented with a nice intro vocal rendition.
The lyrics are decent, we know the song is talking about girls they are in love with, it was able to pass the message across accordingly.
The melody of the song is not bad at all. It was made further interesting by the seamless blend of the several genres in the song. From Afropop to hip-hop/rap and the dancehall. We enjoyed the shift of atmosphere without really deviating from what the song was all about.
The vocals of the song are audible, we were able to hear them clearly all through the song. We also enjoyed the rendition and the atmosphere that came with each individual vocal performance.
The instrumentals of the song are well varied and balanced, we enjoyed the rhythm that comes with the beat, it did well to do well in supporting an already good performance.

Negatives

The song lacks any music video. This is a bad marketing move as most of the musicians featured on this track are not well known, at least not anymore--we are looking at you Flowssick and BOJ.

Bottom Line

Afropop, Dancehall and Hip-Hop/Rap, what is not to like? Well except you are not a big fan of any of these genres then oh well, we cannot say we understand. While this song does not blow us away, it's a very decent song. We enjoyed it for the most part of the review and we will definitely be adding this to our playlist.
What are your thoughts? Will you be adding this song to your playlist?

Hey! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form? I'm using the same blog platform as yours and I'm having trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!
