Plot Synopsis

A highlife love song

Verses

2

Nigerian alternative artiste, Jinmi Abduls comes through once again with yet another love tune titled, Iyawo Jinmi. The self-produced highlife song comes after the success of his last single with Oxlade titled, Greed.

Positives

Jinmi, like Alpha Ojini, is one of the few do it all artiste, and we love a creative genius. Jinmi played a simple highlife guitar riff and blended it with African percussions. The African shakers gave it the song an owambe vibe.
Jinmi Abdul's charming voice was the focal point. He sang clearly and smoothly. Although the melody choice was familiar, it was still soothing to the ears. Jinmi's vocals truly win a lady over.
In this song, Jinmi Abduls sang sweet lyrics to his lover asking her to spend forever with him.

Negatives

As creative as Jinmi Abdul is, he hasn't shown his versatile side. Iyawo Jinmi sounded like every other Jinmi Abduls song with just a little twitch in the melody and drum pattern. This is a case of 'rinse and repeat.'
