Positives

Fireboy's amazing songwriting is unmatched in the Nigerian music industry space, and this is evident once again on 'New York City Girl.' Type A made a smooth blend of pop melodies and Afro drum patterns with a little bit of dancehall vibe that is evident in the snare and kicks. The instrumentation was simple and perfect for a Fireboy DML's rendition. Fireboy came through with a nice performance. He sang smooth and amazing pop melodies with his unique vocals, hitting notes with the perfect emotional resonance. In all this, the lyrical composition was the biggest win. The plot, the structure, the build-up was just perfect. You could almost picture the whole story with just the song and that is one of the truest essences of music.
