Fireboy seems to be blowing away the whole competition without even trying at all. We really got excited when we learnt that Fireboy had a new song. Except that LKing is not actually new. It’s been around for a while, however, it seems it was just time for the song to garner some traction. In this song, he encourages his partner to treat him like a King because of his value.

We were quite taken aback from the very beginning of the song. We really weren't expecting an RnB song. We kept on expecting the song to transition into Afropop which did not happen.
The lyrics of the song are decent. The structure is also average. However, the plot development impressed us. The son has a positive vibe to it. Fireboy insisted that he had to be treated like a king, this is probably because he knows his value as a person.
Fireboy absolutely killed the vocals of the son. His rendition was clear and concise. He was able to flex his vocal prowess in this song.
This piece is a tender expression and an excellent composition of love dynamics, balance of tone, and phrasing. The contrast in scoring makes this piece a first-rate choice for those that are lovestruck.
Wow, it does feel like forever that we reviewed an RnB song. This song brings a freshness of sound, absence of musical clichés, colourful work, use of sonorous pedal-points, the crisp and intense combination of the vocals and melody, splashes of percussive colour.
