It’s no longer news that on the 25th of December, Fireboy released his long-awaited debut album, ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps. The 13 track album does not feature any artist, Fireboy pulled this one all by himself. Energy is the fifth track off the album, Produced by Talented producer, Pheelz. let’s get down to the review, shall we?

Positives

hmmm.....are you planning a date? like everything is set for you to impress your partner, but there is something missing, you keep searching for the right music to play that'll put up that special energy you want. If you fall into this category, then your search is over, this might be the right song you'll need to play.
The 100bpm instrumental starts with soft electric piano chords, a soft sax instrument with a brief melody, percussions playing, and Fireboy's vocal blowing us away. The song has a global sound attached to it, it is a fusion of Afro-beat and soul. The vocal delivery, organization, and lyric content is remarkable. Fireboy's energy on this is lit.

Negatives

......Fireboy's energy idea is a foreign one, maybe because he is influenced by some international artists, which is not a bad thing right? but if you listen closely and you follow international trends or music, you'll perceive some Jon Bellion sounds on this one.
