Positives
It has been a while we heard a proper highlife record. All we've been getting is Afro-pop, Afro-RnB, and bland street-pop records. Well, 'Koni Koni' comes close to a true highlife record. The production had a nice solemn Afro-pop but its heavily driven by Fiokee's highlife guitar melodies. Simi started the song with her filtered vocals singing the chorus that had the call & response feel. The song kept getting better as it went on. Oxlade delivered his unique style that fits into highlife perfectly. The overall production was great and the vocals were clear, audible and they balanced well with the instrumental.
