Finally, Mr Olu Maintain has come out from hiding after a prolonged Absence in the Music Industry. It must have taken a lot from Falz to convince Olu Maintain or maybe not? He probably went, “Hey, I like your last French song and I have one myself. We really should do a French Collaboration and I know it will be bam!” Olu Maintain Probably nodded his head in agreement and lo and behold, the ended up in the studio to cook this up.
The beginning instrumental did well to catch our attention. It's an interesting instrumental really. Then we liked the pause before Falz started rapping.
The melody of the song is not bad. Nothing fantastic for us but generally it gets an above average rating. When it comes to the correlation between rhythm and melody, it was not a bad blend, the song does have a nice harmony.
The vocal performance of both Musicais is decent. However, we felt that at some point Olu Maintain was not very clear. In fact, we were not sure he had started singing till he had gone far into the song. His part of the song was rather
He did sing with a baritone voice which was a welcome addition to the song.
The song is a rather weird one lyrically. It just talks about a bit of everything. Most notably a girl and politics. The song was sung in French, at least a part of it. this means a lot of people will struggle to get half the meaning of what Falz and Mr Olu Maintain are trying to say,
This new song lacks a video and for some reasons, we already have a picture of what the video will be like. It just gives us that Nawti Nawti vibe type of video, after all, that is Olu Maintain's style. However, he is just being featured on this song so he may not have as much influence on the video of the song
