A groovy Afro-house song
2
Lussh laced the sweetest Afro-house drum pattern with a staccato-played piano chord and you just might have eargasm from the intro. The clash of the different percussions used was perfect and made the song infectious and danceable. The beat was apt for the kind of vibe Ewa Cole had in mind. Ewa Cole’s vocals were clear, crisp and monotonically melodious.
If you heard the audio of this song, you just might think Niniola was the one that sang this song. Gbese was a direct replica of Niniola’s sound, but I guess she needs a rival or a partner in crime. The song had no actual theme or plot to it. We couldn’t help but wonder why she was vulnerable to her vocal performance. At some point, she was ranting for a dude that probably broke her heart and at other points, she was telling us to ‘Gbese.’ We didn’t know if we should dance or feel her pain. Well, we chose to dance.
The song is an okay danceable tune, and we can't wait to hear Ewa's actual sound.
