SONIC EXPERIENCE!

Dr Sid is back in the music industry and he is reportedly working on a new album (This is only an unconfirmed rumour at this point so take it with a pinch of salt). Good time is a feel-good song in which Dr Sid talks about having a swell time with his homies and whatnot. The video for the song is hotly anticipated — at least so we heard.

Positives

The starts at a fast pace and with a lot of energy, It was noticed from the very beginning that the song was not produced by maestro producer, Don Jazzy but the production credit was given to a certain O’Zeddicus.
We had no issues whatsoever with Dr Sid's vocals, e were able to hear him loud and clear with no problems. His vocal rendition was befitting for the song.
The melody of the song actually sounds above average, we enjoyed the sound even though the sound had no shred of originality nor newness in it. At least on the bright song, the melody is tuneful and memorable.

Negatives

The lyrics are really nothing special. It did feel like a lazy attempt. I mean you can sing a song about having a good time without necessarily bad lyrics, innit? The structure of the lyrics score a fairly below average score, it's not terrible, it is just that no effort was made to produce a quality song with a decent lyrical structure.
The originality of the song suffers. It felt like we had heard this particular song for the gazillionth time. There was little to no creativity in the song and it is just sad.

Bottom Line

It is at least good to see Dr Sid back in the music industry. We will not even complain about the quality of music, not even one bit. After all, a good beat, a couple of shoddy lyrics and a mainstream genre are equals to potential hit no? ell, we doubt that formula will work for "Good Time".
