A song about enjoying life
2
Lavida starts with an array of interesting instrumentals that creates a sense of suspense. The intro of the song got us curious and engaged to hear the other parts of the song. We loved Rema's intro vocals and the sudden change of pace when D'Prince started singing.
The melody is an interesting one, we were curious as to what the sound of the song was going to be when we were about to start with the Music review of Lavida. We were not really disappointed however we expected more.
The song lacks any lyrical depth, the lyrics were mostly superficial and superfluous repetitions. The structure of the lyrics was also nothing to write home about and we cannot say we enjoyed it.
The melody while tuneful does not strike a chord in us, it was mostly just ordinary and it began to get boring at some point.
Lavida was D'Pirnce's opportunity to come back but it was a lacklustre performance by the longtime Mavin Records Musician. We were not wowed neither did we feel like we had missed D'Prince these past months.
