Plot Synopsis

A groovy afro-house record

As we begin to practice social distancing due to the worldwide pandemic, entertainers around the world have been giving us content to keep us entertained. The latest one coming from the Davido lead DMW crew titled Mafa Mafa. The Afro-house record was produced by Nakademus.

Read the review below:

Positives

Nakademus made a very groovy beat that is similar to Naira Marley's Soapy instrumental but with a different melody and synth pattern. The production of the song was great with great deliveries and clear vocals from each artiste. The DMW head-honcho delivered a street-like catchy chorus that will catch the attention of anyone feeling the Afro-house genre in Nigeria. Flowolf and Peruzzi both came through too, but Dremo's verse was the highlight of the record.
Everyone on the song preached the same message, which is "don't try what you can't handle."

Negatives

This song sounds like every other Afro-house record on air right now. There was no added creativity or innovativeness. The DMW crew just decided to follow a dying trend and the fact that the trend is dying definitely didn't help matters.

Bottom Line

This is a really groovy and danceable song, but it will fade as quickly as it came.
