An afro-pop record
2
Spinall made a good afro-pop instrumental with afro drum patterns and trap-esque RnB melodies to match the mid-tempo drums. The instrumental was groovy and nice. Omah Lay delivered a unique performance on the instrumental. His smooth vocals blended well with the instrumental. His melody choice and bounce were top-notch. The overall production was good, although the mixing could have been better as some effects were a little overused.
The whole record just sounded a little muddy and unclear. This made the song uninteresting and the second part of the second verse was the only part that stood out. It takes more than one listen to figure out what exactly the song is about. The structure of the record was just all over the place.
