A laidback song
2
Lyrically the song is not really there. Perhaps because the song was supposed to be humorous with comic reliefs? The interesting thing, however, is that a prevalent pattern was addressed. You know the part in which a guy takes a girl out and he spends only for the girl to refuse him s*x. In a way, the song does create awareness without encouraging it (we are looking at you Lil Kesh and Olamide).
The instrumentals of the song are well varied and balance. However, the rhythm is not that great. The melody was already struggling enough only to be let down further by the rhythm of the song. Apart from the rhythm, we enjoyed the different sounds from the instrumentals.
A powerful array of instrumentals starts the song, drums of different kinds and some other instruments were thrown into the mix. Then Patoranking starts the song. There is nothing special about the intro. Just your average intro. In fact, the song only began to be interesting in the chorus.
We were not really into the melody of the tune. Perhaps because of the style of the song. In fact, the only time we truly started enjoying the melody was when Shaker began to rap. The chorus is not all that bad too but it was too repetitive.
This is not your typical Patoranking song, well, it is not his song per se, he was just featured. You probably do not want to listen to the song continuously to prevent getting bored easily.
